Terrified women have been filmed walking through the streets of Portland in what appears to be a stunt for the upcoming “Terrifying Women” television series.
The series, based on the cult novel “The Umbrella Academy,” stars Jessica Lange, Amy Sedaris, Lily Tomlin and Dara Torres as a group of women who must defend themselves against a deadly threat posed by a female-only society.
The woman who appears topless in one video is described as a “freak” and a “march through the city” and is accompanied by a dog.
The other video shows a woman in a bikini walking through a Portland park.
The woman is described by a narrator as a walking “monster.”
The program, which is being produced by ABC Family and Universal Television, has been praised by the group of celebrities, including Amy Sedarians.
“I think it’s very brave and very brave to be brave about what we have in this country,” she told the Associated Press.
“It’s a good thing for the country to be able to see a show like this, because we have so many people living in fear,” said Amy Sedarian.
“We don’t want to live in fear anymore, but we have to do it together.”
The series is slated to premiere in 2018.
