In a recent study, researchers found that the majority of people in the United States are using sunbed or sunscreen.

Sunbathing in public While many of the studies have focused on beach-dwellers and sunbathers, there’s one study that shows the benefits of sunbatening in public.
Researchers from The University of California, San Diego and the University of British Columbia compared people’s responses to two versions of a sunbed and two sunbed covers.
The sunscreen was made of polypropylene plastic (PPP), which has a high barrier to UV rays.
It also contained a polyester/silicone blend to keep the plastic from getting absorbed into the skin.
The researchers found people in different age groups tended to prefer the sunbed, with adults older than 40 looking the best.
People who were younger and had more skin color tended to be more likely to prefer sunscreen.
The sunbed was used in an indoor setting, in the nude, or in the open for more than 20 minutes.
The study was published in the journal Environmental Health Perspectives.
